The Bloat Paradox
Almost every successful utility app eventually undergoes feature rot. A fast calculator becomes an accounting platform. A clean note app adds AI co-pilots and project management kanban boards. Soon, the tool becomes slow, expensive, and alienated from the original problem it solved.
Defining 'Done'
In the physical world, a quality hammer or a precision fountain pen is considered complete once crafted. It does not require a weekly feature drop or an ongoing cloud connection. We believe software utilities should also have a definition of 'done': robust, delightful, maintainable, and built to serve without constantly clamoring for your attention.
Our Commitment to Independence
By remaining an independent studio with zero venture capital pressures, we can build software that respects our users. We measure success not by daily active engagement minutes, but by whether our tools helped someone finish a task and put their phone down.
